So Tales of Beedle the Bard is only a few days away, and people seem to be getting excited! Mugglecast is having a live London podcast, Pottercast is getting together in NYC, and Amazon is shipping soon! Meanwhile HP Progs is discussing fairy tales with Travis Prinzi, who incidentally, is having a book coming out soon! Harry Potter fandom news is approaching the top of the roller coaster, huh?

Harry Potter & Imagination looks like a great read, and a great literary and analytical book about Harry Potter. Definitely a better book than Mugglenet’s book, which was fun to read, but not very… well it wasn’t literary masterpiece.

AHHH! Azkatraz!
So. Azkatraz. HP 2009. I don’t know what to do!!!
Well—Obviously I want to go (who in the fandom doesn’t??), but there’s just so much I have against the prospect:
- My parents want to go to New Jersey that summer
- California means a good few hundred dollars in plane tickets
- The registration itself it $$$
- The hotel is also $$$, though probably won’t be staying at the Azkatraz hotel
- I need a chaperone… So one my my parents will have to accompany me for some HP-filled days
- Transport in a BIG city
- $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Not that the conference means only bad things; I really want to go:
- It’s HARRY POTTER
- EVERYONE in the fandom is going to be there, from Mugglenet, Leaky, HP Progs, everywhere!
- A hotel filled with HP-obsessed people
- So many people to meet!
- MIDNIGHT HBP IN IMAX
- All the intellectual HP stuff
- All the FANDOMY HP stuff
- I can’t call myself a good fan without going
- Well, I’m a teenager, I get to pamper myself in fun, money-wasting activities. That’s what the economic stimulus was for!
- Awesome summer vacation story! I’m going to be 17 by then!
All in all, I’m completely undecided. The logos makes me think of money; the pathos makes me think of the fans and the life-chinging experience. I hope I can go and have money left for college

If you are a Harry Potter fan, you will be reading this knowing that WB has moved the release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince from November 21st, 2008, to July 17th, 2009. Yes–eight months. Has any major flm ever been delayed so much for purely financial reasons before? Yep, WB caused a lot of rage and grief in the HP fandom. It was supposed to be tonight, before midnight, that I would go to the local movie theater–a movie theater which would’ve been filled with crazed fans–tonight, and waited for the much anticipated latest HP film. But alas, no. I sure as hell won’t be seeing Twilight, forgetting the fact that the movie theater would be filled with INSANE (not hp-insane) teenage girls.
So: No HBP for another EIGHT months. enjoy.
Hmm… so maybe I will start a podcast soon.

Podcasts, Again
Guess what? I’ve finally gotten around to pretty much cleaning out my iTunes podcast directory. It started with just Mugglecast, but now I have 6 podcasts with about 5 episodes each, to save space. Probably ended up clearing out a good 5 GB. I hope podcasts are just as “easy” to manage with Zunes…
Still pushing around the idea of a podcast, but I can’t think of a name so boo.
EDIT: I’m thinking of recruiting for a podcast team soon.lol that would be insane. and probably won’t happen. but it would be so cool.
